ANNA JA LIISA is a brand,
an emotional state reflecting the Ostrobothnian way of living.

In 2013, Tanja, Andreas, Elina and Johanna, four designers from Ostrobothnia Finland, started a collaboration with a Japanese partner resulting in regular, yearly visits from Japan. The enthusiasm of the visitors has shown us the value of our home region. This led to the birth of Anna ja Liisa.

The inspiration of Anna ja Liisa are old ladies from Ostrobothnia, at the west coast of Finland. They spend their falls in the forrest picking berries and in wintertime they knit socks for their grandchildren. In spring time they do gardening and in summertime they prepare firewoods for the cold winters to come. Baking sweet pastries and cooking stews are their passion, always with a cat as their company. Their life is neither gorgeous nor special, but they enjoying their lovely life together with family and friends.Ladies like Anna ja Liisa can be found everywhere in Ostrobothnia.

These ladies work hard. Their lives are challenging, rewarding but also sweet and filled with beauty. They love their home and their family.

Anna ja Liisa is symbolic to us for the lifestyle in Ostrobohtnia.
